Crumb gives you the option of turning any of the contacts on your account into emergency contacts. If a stranger is trying to reach you via your pet profile, and you're not able to answer, the call will automatically roll over after 12 rings, and start dialing your emergency contact.
This means the person trying to reach you won't have to do anything additional, and they'll have a higher chance of reaching someone in your circle.
You can have multiple emergency contacts, which means the call will just continue ringing until it reaches someone!
This article will show you how to either make one of your existing contacts into a an emergency contact, or add a whole new contact who can also be an emergency contact.
From the home page, open 'Owner Information'
Click on the small circular icon at the top of the Crumb homepage. This will be either your photo, or your initials.
Select 'Contacts'
This will open a page showing all of the contacts currently on your profile.
A) To turn an existing contact into an emergency contact...
Click on the person you'd like to make into an emergency contact, then click 'Edit'.
Click the toggle that says "Make emergency contact"
When you're done, click "Save", and this person will now be an emergency contact!
You'll now see this person in the "Emergency Contact" section
B) To add a new contact, and make them an emergency contact at the same time...
From the contacts page, select "+ Add emergency Contact". This will open a form to create a new contact, and the "Make emergency contact" toggle will be on by default. Click 'Save' when you're done, and you'll have a new emergency contact on file!
