Have you noticed that the phone number on your pet's profile isn't yours? Not to worry, this is intentional!
We use 'Call Masking' technology to protect the privacy of the pets owner. The number shown on the pet profile is a virtual number, which when dialed will be securely routed through to the owner.
Someone else tried to call the number, and it didn't go through to the owner. What now?
The phone number on the pet profile could be incorrect. Here's how you check:
Log into the Crumb app
Type your email into the Crumb app to request a verification code, and log in. Here's How
Navigate to Owner Details
In the top right-hand corner, you will see a circular icon of either a photo, or your initials. Click this to open the Owner Details page.
Select "Contacts"
Here you can see the owner's information, addresses and contacts on the pet profile. To check the phone number on the account, please click on "Contacts":
Edit the phone number, if need be
Here you can see the phone number for the owner and edit it by clicking on it and changing the name/number.
Premium subscribers can also add another contact
Click the orange button at the bottom that says 'Add additional contact' to add a trusted alternate contact like your partner, or roommate, for example. Repeat the process to add as many extra contacts as you like.
