Instant Alerts are one of the best ways to reunite you with your pet as quickly as possible. If you are testing out the 'Share Location' button on your pet's profile, and have yet to receive the text with their location, here is what you need to do:
Check your phone number...
Open the Crumb app and log in:
Type in your email and then enter the verification code that's sent to your email or phone number. Getting stuck? Here's a guide to logging into the app.
Open the 'Owner Information' page.
From the Home Screen, click the icon on the top right. This will be either your initials or your profile picture.
Select "Contacts".
Here you can see the which phone number, or phone numbers the SMS alerts will be sent to.
Change the number if it's incorrect.
Click on the phone number, and make any necessary corrections.
Test it out!
Tap your pet's profile, click Edit pet details, then 'Share Location', then give permission to Crumb.pet to use your current location. Please note: if you're using your own phone to call yourself, there's a chance it won't work. Try getting a friend to test out the tag if yours doesn't work! You should promptly receive a location link as text.
Still not receiving the text?
You may have a filter on your texts app for texts from unknown numbers. If you have an iPhone, here is how you can disable the filter for unknown senders in your iOS settings:
If, after disabling the filter, you're still not receiving the alerts after conducting a test, please reach out to our Support team, who will be happy to assist you further.
