I'm not receiving SMS alerts

Instant Alerts are one of the best ways to reunite you with your pet the fastest. If you are testing out the Share Location button on your pet's profile and are yet to receive the text with their location, here is what you need to do:

Check your phone number

Log into your Crumb Account

Head over to our Login Page and log in using the Magic Link which is sent to your registered email inbox.

Navigate to Account Settings

In the top right-hand corner, you will see the icon highlighted below. Please click on this icon, then select Account Settings:

Select "Contacts"

Here you can see the owner's information, addresses and contacts on the pet profile. To check the phone number on the account, please click on "Contacts":

Review information

Here you can see the phone number for the owner as well as the phone number of any additional contacts. If you need to make any changes to any of the numbers, you can click the "Edit" button:

Test it out!

Head over to the "Pets" section of your Crumb dashboard and view one of your pet's profiles.

Once the profile has loaded, click the "Share Location" button and consent to sharing your location. The number on the Crumb account should now receive a text message with the Scan Location Alert.

Still not receiving the text?

You may have a filter on your texts app for texts from unknown numbers.

If you have an iPhone, here is how you can disable the filter for unknown senders in your iOS settings:

If after disabling the filter you're still not receiving the alerts after conducting a test, please reach out to our Support team who will be happy to assist you further.
