If your pet ever goes missing, it's vital to alert as many people as possible in the local area. That's why we developed a vet and shelter notification system which kicks into action if you ever mark your pet as missing in the owner dashboard.
The first thing that happens is we work out which vets and animal shelters are in your area. We do this by filtering our database of vets and animal shelters and compiling a list of any within 15 miles of your home address.
Once we know which vets and shelters are in your area, we email them all explaining that your pet has gone missing and what to look out for. We also send them a link to the missing pet poster which we create, from which anyone can contact the owner of the missing pet.
Timing is everything when a pet goes missing, which is why we act immediately as soon as you mark your pet as missing.
