Crumb's newest feature: Holiday Mode works in tandem with its other new feature called Trusted Persons to let you give additional control of your Crumb account to someone you trust while you're out of town.
Activating Holiday mode temporarily turns a pet sitter of your choosing into the primary contact so that they can mark your pet as missing, and even be the first person to be called when someone finds your missing pet.

If you trust your pet sitter enough, you can even disable calling for yourself with 'Mute-me" mode!
Best of all, you can set all of this up ahead of time, so you can focus on getting where you're going while Crumb automatically puts your pet-sitter in charge. This guide will show you how to set up holiday mode in the Crumb app.
Open 'Owner Information' and click on 'Holiday mode'
From the home page of the app, click on the circular icon on the top right with your initials, or profile picture. Next, click on 'Holiday mode'.
Click 'Create new holiday' and give it a name
You can preprogram multiple holidays as far ahead as three months, so be sure to give your holiday a distinct, and relevant name like "Mexico in October", or something like that. You can also add a description, if you like. Click 'Next' when you're done.
Decide if you want 'Mute-me' mode on or not
By default, 'Mute me' mode is activated. This means your contact information will not appear on the pet profile while you're away, so no one will call you if they find your missing pet. If you'd rather be contacted, switch this off by moving the white circle to the left. Click 'Next' when you're ready to move on.
Enter the days you'll be away
Enter your date of departure and your date of return. You can always edit this before, or during your trip should plans change. Holiday Mode will be automatically activated during the days you enter here.
Select from your existing Trusted Persons list, or invite a new one to be in charge
If you haven't already added a Trusted Person, or if there's a specific person who will be watching your pet, you can invite them by filling out their information here.
An extra Trusted Person
Crumb has a limit of five Trusted Persons, but don't worry! Inviting a new one here doesn't count towards your five!
Check the information over, and then click 'Add Trusted Person' at the bottom
You'll be shown a summary of the trip you just created, and then you'll be taken back to the main page of Holiday mode. From there, you'll be able to see that your trip is 'Pending' until the Trusted Person you just invited accepts the responsibility!
Be prepared to hand over control to your pet-sitter
On the first day of your trip, Crumb will automatically make your chosen Trusted Person into the primary contact, placing their contact information at the top of the list when someone scans your pet's tag.
A small, but important distinction:
Each of your Trusted Persons will already have the ability to mark your pet as missing, and see GPS alerts. Only now, your chosen person will have that extra bit of involvement by also becoming the primary contact.
