Each Crumb tag has a unique QR code engraved on the back of it. To access the Pet Profile linked to the tag, you'll need to scan the QR code. Scanning a code is a bit different from taking a photo. Here's how you do it:
Open the Camera app on your smart device
Point the camera at the Crumb tag. Don't take a picture though! Just wait for a frame to appear around the QR code.
Tap to focus, and click the link when it appears.
If a frame does not appear right away, try tapping on the QR code on the screen to make your camera focus on it. If your camera still won't focus, try moving it a bit farther away from the tag. Once a button appears, click that! (see yellow button below)

If this isn't successful, here are a few extra tips to help you out:
Ensure that your phone has the QR code scanner enabled
Head over to the camera settings and enable "Scan QR Codes":
Make sure that you are in Photo mode
In order for your phone to be able to scan a QR code, your camera will need to be in Photo mode. If you're in Portrait, Panorama, etc. then it won't be able to detect the QR code.
Try scanning using Google Lens:
You can also easily scan a QR code from within Google Chrome, by using Google Lens, here's how:
Open up Google, and click this button
Your camera will then open up. If you point it at the tag, a link will then appear which you can click. You can also click the camera shutter to open the link
