So, you've got your new Crumb pet tag and you're ready to get started! We're here to help you set it up and get your furry friend up and running (well, walking, really). Follow these simple steps to set up your tag and get started with Crumb:
Scan the QR code
First things first, follow the instructions in the envelope and scan the QR code on your new tag to get started.
To scan the QR code, open the camera app on your smartphone and point it at the code. A link will appear on the screen within the camera app - click this to go to the setup section where instructions will pop up on the screen which you can follow on your phone.
Create a profile for your pet
Here you'll add your pet's breed, gender, medication and allergy information, as well as the contact information we should include on their pet profile. You can also upload a picture of your pet to help someone identify them if they were ever lost.
Activate your tag
Now it's time to activate your tag! Finish the setup journey on your phone and see everything live, taking your pet's profile online and helping to reunite them with you should they ever go missing.
Attach the Crumb tag to your pet's collar
Once you've scanned the QR code and activated the tag, it's time to attach it to your pet's collar. Our tags are designed to be durable and long-lasting, so they should hold up well to everyday wear and tear. Just make sure that the tag is securely fastened to the collar before you let your pet loose!
QR code won't scan?

If this isn't successful, I have a few more tips for you to help.
Ensure that your phone has the QR code scanner enabled
Head over to the camera settings and enable "Scan QR Codes":
Make sure that you are in Photo mode
In order for your phone to be able to scan a QR code, your camera will need to be in Photo mode. If you're in Portrait, Panorama, etc. then it won't be able to detect the QR code.
Try scanning using Google Lens:
You can also easily scan a QR code from within Google Chrome, by using Google Lens, here's how:
Open up Google, and click this button
Your camera will then open up. If you point it at the tag, a link will then appear which you can click. You can also click the camera shutter to open the link
