There are many incredible features included with a Crumb subscription. Here, we will explain what each feature does, and how it can be used to reunite you with your pet as quickly as possible.
Online Pet Profile
This is the page where whoever scans your missing pet's tag will be brought. Here is an example of what it looks like:
Here we can see the pet's name, breed, sex, and age. We can also share our location directly with the owner by clicking the "Share Location" button.
We can also call the owner. The number you will see may be masked to protect the owner's privacy. This technology is similar to the one used by Uber and JustEat/SkipTheDishes.
Finally, we can see the pet's address, any notes left by the owner, as well as information about any allergies and medication that the pet is taking.
Scan Location Alerts
As soon as your pet's tag is scanned and the "Share Location" button is pressed, the owner will be sent a text message with the exact location where the tag was scanned.
This will save an unnecessary trip to the vet to be reunited with your lost pet, and it will get you reunited with them faster.
Vet & Shelter Alerts
As soon as your pet is marked missing from within your Crumb Dashboard, we will send a notification to every vet and shelter within a 15-mile radius of your home.
We will include information about their breed, allergies, age, and even a custom missing pet poster. Most importantly, we'll pass on your contact information to them as well.
We will also post a 'Social SOS' post to Facebook, to recruit the help of community members who aren't also Crumb users themselves.
SnoutID®
Did you know that your pet's snout is unique to them?
Just like how a human fingerprint is unique, a pet's snout is one-of-a-kind. In the same way that a human fingerprint can be used to identify someone, an animal's snout can be used to identify them as your pet.
Within your Crumb account, you can upload a scan of your pet's snout to our database. This means that even if your pet's collar were removed,as long as someone were to scan their snout, they would be able to find their pet profile and reunite them with you.

Privacy Mode
You can never be careful enough with your personal information, and we know not everyone will want information about their pets to be easily accessible. This is why we have implemented additional privacy measures to protect both you, and your pet's information.
From within the Account Settings section of your Crumb Dashboard, you can choose to enable the Privacy Mode feature. By doing so, you will hide the first line of your address from your pet's profile. If you want to make sure you're only sharing the information you want to share, you can see what the pet profile will look like by clicking the "Preview Pet Profile" button.
This is in addition to the call-masking technology integrated to protect the owner's privacy.
This works similarly to how Uber or Just Eat do it, where the call routes through a third-party number and then calls the owner.
